Planting underway in western Indiana

A western Indiana farmer says warm temperatures and excellent ground conditions provided a planting window last week on his farm.

But, Kevin Cox says that was short-lived.

“We started planting soybeans last Wednesday and planted until Saturday night. Sunday morning, we were at 30 degrees, Monday morning we were 28 degrees and I had ice pellets hitting the windshield and I decided I wasn’t going to plant (for a couple of days),” he says.
