Farmers calling for DOL rule reversal

The plea for Congress to reverse increasing H-2A seasonal guest worker costs is building as farm groups press for action on the Department of Labor’s new rule.

Michigan Farm Bureau’s John Kran tells Brownfield his organization is issuing an action alert this week calling on lawmakers to cosponsor and support Congressional Review Act resolutions that would disapprove the methodology used to determine Adverse Effect Wage Rates.

“The Congressional Review Act is Congress’ way to push back against rules that they think go too far and this bill would just that,” he explains.
