Wide-ranging temps to fuel a more showery pattern across the Heartland next week.

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of below-normal temperatures along and northwest of a line from western Arizona to Lake Superior, while warmer-than-normal weather will stretch from central and southern sections of the Rockies and Plains to the Atlantic Coast.

Meanwhile, near- or above-normal precipitation across most of the country should contrast with drier-than-normal conditions in the lower Great Lakes region and central Appalachians.
