Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures and precipitation across much of the country. Warmer-than-normal weather will be confined to the Southwest and areas along and near the Atlantic Coast.
Meanwhile wetter-than-normal conditions should be limited to northern California, the Pacific Northwest, and the Atlantic Coast States.
