USDA: farmers made more in February

Farmers made more in February than January while paying steady money.

The USDA’s index of prices received was 1.7% higher as gains in corn, soybeans, cattle, and cauliflower against losses in milk, market eggs, celery and strawberries.

The dairy index for February was down 6.4% from January and 13% from February 2022, with an all milk price of $21.60 per hundredweight, a decline of $1.50 on the month and $3.10 on the year.
