A west-central Iowa farmer says soil conditions have improved heading into the 2023 planting season.
Jonathan Wetter raises row crops and livestock in Calhoun County. “It’s nice to see some of these smaller rains coming in over time,” he said. “The snow doesn’t add up real quick, but every little bit helps.”
He tells Brownfield drought was a challenge in 2022. “We’re going to start out doing more no-till this year,” Wetter said.
