Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of above-normal temperatures in the East, while cooler-than-normal conditions will cover areas along and west of a line from Texas to Wisconsin. 

Meanwhile, above-normal precipitation in much of the South, East, and lower Midwest should contrast with drier-than-normal weather in parts of Florida, along with much of California and the Great Basin, Northwest, northern Plains, and upper Midwest.
