Congress passes WOTUS disapproval

Congress has passed a resolution disapproving the Biden administration’s Waters of the United States rule and it now needs President Joe Biden’s signature.

On Wednesday, the Senate voted in favor of a resolution to overturn the Biden administration’s WOTUS rule by a vote of 53-43.

Congressional passage of the resolution is getting a positive response from the American Farm Bureau Federation. In a statement, President Zippy Duvall said the 2023 WOTUS threatens the progress made to responsibly manage water resources and AFBF urges the president to recognize the concerns for the rule.
