A survey of farmers by a major analytical firm is projecting higher corn, soybean, and wheat acreage in 2023.
Allendale Inc.’s says farmers will plant 90.4 million acres of corn this year, under the USDA’s Ag Outlook Forum estimate of 91 million acres, but still 1.835 million more than the 2022 total.
Allendale’s survey shows soybeans at 87.768 million acres, above the Ag Outlook Forum guess of 87.5 million and up 318,000 on the year.
