The USDA is seeking nongovernmental administrators to help distribute financial assistance to borrowers who have faced discrimination.
The Inflation Reduction Act appropriated $2.2 billion in financial assistance to producers who have experienced discrimination in USDA’s farm lending programs and specifies nongovernmental programs coordinate the delivery of a national program.
The agency says a national administrator and four regional hubs will be established to solicit and process applications and wants interested partners and community-based organizations to contact them.
