Linda S. Woods

Linda S. Woods passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023, at Lutheran Living.

Born 1952 in Muscatine IA, Mrs. Woods was the daughter of Eldon “Jake” and Esther (Moore) Hulen.

Linda graduated from Muscatine High School in 1971. She also received a degree in Interior Design from Patricia Steven’s in Omaha, NE.

While working in Salt Lake City UT, she married Joseph Glines in 1974 at the Latter-Day Saints Temple – also in Salt Lake City. They lived in California for several years. Together they have a daughter – Katrina (Glines Casteel) Norton.

Later divorcing, Linda & Katrina moved back to Muscatine to be close to her family. In 1992 she married Bob Woods at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Muscatine where she was a longtime member.

Linda worked at CDS Global in Wilton IA until her health declined in 2009. She loved her dogs, watching movies, going to yard sales, doing crafts, and putting puzzles together with Bob.

Linda was preceding in death by her grandparents Ralph & Ada (Bergman) Hulen, Kahoka MO; Sherman & Mary (Bergen) Moore, Wapello IA; parents Eldon Hulen & Esther (Moore) Reinhart, Muscatine; her brother Dale Hulen; several aunts, uncles, and a nephew.

Linda is survived by her husband Bob Woods, Muscatine; daughter Katrina (Brian) Norton, Muscatine; grandchildren Jonathan, Brianna, Courtney, Joseph, Kayla Casteel, Zara, Hannson, Savannah Norton; great-grandchildren Gideon Casteel, and Bella Norton; “Mom” Jean Hulen, Muscatine; brother Tony (Becky) Hulen, McCausland IA; sisters Andrea (Joe) Dietrich, Pleasant Grove UT; Jennifer (John) Walker, Russellville AR; Melanie (Darrell) Elya, Council Bluffs IA; Dori Richwine, Muscatine; Theodora (Kyle) Clemons, Council Bluffs IA; several nieces, nephews; and her beloved Aunt Betty Carlson, Quincy IL.
