The National Pearl Button Museum has announced their first annual Pearly City Seed Swap fundraiser that will take place upstairs in the museum on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Bring old seeds to trade and get new ones for your garden just in time for spring planting. Everyone is guaranteed seeds, but the seeds that you bring will make it even more interesting. Admission for the event is $5.

Individuals may drop in any time between 1 and 3 p.m. to make the rounds swapping seeds, eating cookies, and chatting with other folks who are into gardening, horticulture, and sustainable farming.

Swap rules are as follows:

  1. Bring seeds to swap. (At least 10 packets suggested)
  2. $5 Entry Fee gets 10 swap tickets. Tickets are exchanged for one packet/lot of seeds.
  3. Additional tickets can be purchased for $1 each at the event or in advance online here: https://muscatinehistory.org/shop/pearl-city-seed-swap-extra-swap-tickets-1-per-ticket/
