Illinois farmer says winter tasks caught up, planting prep underway

A central Illinois grain and cattle farmer says cooperative weather has helped him stay caught up on winter chores.

Marty Marr of New Berlin tells Brownfield, “It hasn’t been extremely cold for too long, so it has allowed us to get a lot of work done in the shop and also a lot of grain moved here in January and into February.”

He says now they are starting to prepare equipment for planting season.
