The Supervisory Board of Bayer AG has picked the company’s next CEO.
Bayer says Bill Anderson, a chemical engineer who has served in various leadership positions in the life science industry over the last 25 years, was unanimously elected as CEO effective June 1st.
Anderson most recently served as CEO of Roche’s Pharmaceuticals Division, and has prior experience in the biotech field when he led Genentech.
He will succeed Werner Baumann, who retires at the end of May after 35 years of service.
