Announcing the 2023 Muscatine Sister Cities Young Artists and Authors Showcase; Entries sought

Muscatine Sister Cities, the Muscatine Art Center, and the Global Education program at the Stanley Center are pleased to announce the 2023 Muscatine Sister Cities Young Artists and Authors Showcase.

We are inviting Muscatine County youth, ages 13-18, to create a piece of art (classic or digital), photography, creative writing, poetry, or music that represents the 2023 theme: Peace by Piece: Food Security in my Community.

Three entries will be awarded a $100 cash prize at a reception at the Muscatine Art Center on April 23. All entries will be on display at the Muscatine Art Center April 6 through May 14, 2023. Winning entries will also be entered into the Sister Cities International Competition and compete for a $1,000 grand prize, $250 second place prize, or a $100 third place prize.
