Branstad ‘honored’ to lead World Food Prize Foundation

The new president of the World Food Prize Foundation says his top priority is addressing threats to the global food system.

Former US Ambassador to China Terry Branstad tells Brownfield he’s honored to help lead an organization that brings together the world’s greatest ag scientists.

“We will provide a leadership to address the food insecurity, and make sure that we are reducing world hunger,” he said. “And we’ll be addressing the need for affordable and reliable food supplies everywhere.”

He says his past work experience will help guide the foundation’s mission to improve global food security and the livelihoods of farmers.
