The head of a biofuels group says he’s optimistic about E15 sales this year and its impact on agriculture.
Monte Shaw is the executive director of the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association.
“Every three gallons of ethanol we blend and sell is another bushel of corn that we’ve ground and turned into ethanol and high protein animal feed,” Shaw said. “On average, we see about a two bushel per acre yield increase year after year.
