Senator expects a timely farm bill

U.S. Senator Mike Braun says he has high hopes for an on-time farm bill.

“The farm bill goes through with a decent amount of bipartisanship,” he says. “I feel good about it being done on a timely basis with no major surprises and crop insurance remaining the cornerstone of it.”

But, the Indiana Republican says many farmers are concerned some issues could be woven into the 2023 Farm Bill.

Braun uses an example of the disclosure requirements of Scope 3 emissions proposed by the SEC.
