Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for near- or below-normal temperatures across the northern High Plains and the West, while warmer-than-normal conditions will dominate the eastern half of the U.S. 

Meanwhile, near- or above-normal precipitation will cover the entire country, with the greatest likelihood of wet weather in California, the Great Basin, and the interior Southeast.
