Governor Kim Reynolds, Lt. Governor Adam Gregg, lowa Department of Public Safety Commissioner Stephan Bayens and lowa State Patrol Colonel Nathan Fulk will honor 14 lowans — both citizens and first responders — from communities across the state for their lifesaving efforts at the 2022 Governor’s Lifesaving Awards and Sullivan Brothers’ Award of Valor.
The ceremony will take place at the State Capital Rotunda in Des Moines at 10 a.m. this Friday, December 16, 2022.
The prestigious ceremony will feature the Iowa State Patrol Honor Guard and songs performed by the Young Patriots, as well as special guest Kelly Sullivan, granddaughter of the youngest Sullivan brother Albert, who will be in attendance.
The Iowa State Capitol is located at 1007 E Grand Ave in Des Moines.
