Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for near- or below-normal temperatures and near- or above-normal precipitation across most of the country. Warmer-than-normal weather will be confined to the Deep South, from Texas and southeastern New Mexico to the southern Atlantic Coast.

The likelihood of wet weather will be greatest in New England, the Pacific Northwest, and the South, especially in the Tennessee Valley.
