Propane supply steady heading into winter season

The director of ag business for the Propane Education and Research Council says propane prices are favorable despite concerns about high fuel costs.

Mike Newland says a drier harvest season reduced demand for propane.

“Prices compared to gasoline and diesel are probably some of our largest spreads ever,” he said. “If you didn’t book your gallons ahead of time, I think you’ve still got a pretty good window to do something.”

Speaking to Brownfield during the National Association of Farm Broadcasting Convention in Kansas City last week, he says winter propane supplies are steady.
