Donating venison to those in need through Iowa’s HUSH program

A DNR program in Iowa provides high-quality venison for the needy.

Mick Klemesrud, with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, tells Brownfield the state’s Help us Stop Hunger, or HUSH, program has two main goals: help reduce the Iowa deer population, and provide high-quality protein to needy Iowa residents.
