Getting closer to the finish line

Corn and soybean harvest is getting closer to the finish line in Missouri. In Otterville, A-G Co-op Services assistant manager Matt Schoen says corn quality isn’t bad, but yields vary.

“As far as bushels per acre, I’d say everything is down anywhere from zero to 150 bushels per acre would be the best.”

Schoen says soybean yields are better, considering the dry growing season. The more than 1.5 inches of rain in the last week helped improve soil moisture, but USDA says soil conditions remain dry.
