Limited diesel supply has farmers concerned

Some farmers across the Corn Belt have expressed concerns about the price and availability of diesel heading into winter.

Fuel supplier Mansfield Energy, based in Georgia, recently issued an alert saying diesel shortages could be possible in the Southeastern part of the country.

Eastern Iowa farmer Lance Lillibridge says a limited diesel supply adds to uncertainties producers are already facing. “They are saying we have a 25-day supply of fuel,” Lillibridge said.
