Green Street asphalt repairs reach halfway mark; work in southbound lanes planned this week

Asphalt repairs in the northbound lanes of Grandview Avenue/Green Street were completed Friday with all traffic control moved out of the roadway for the weekend. The Department of Public Works plans on undertaken asphalt repairs to the seam in the southbound lanes this week. However, with the current forecast of rain for the beginning of the week, milling and an asphalt overlay may be held off until midweek.

Drivers are urged to use caution, slow down, and be alert for workers when driving through the work zone.

The contractor for the Grandview Avenue Reconstruction Project anticipates installing the permanent stripe on Grandview Avenue the week of October 24 or the week of October 31, weather permitting.
