Like many farmers across the country, Kevin Cox of Indiana is asking drivers to slow down and share the road with ag equipment as harvest continues.
“We try to do the best that we can to not impede anyone’s progress. The issue we run into is the size of the equipment,” he says. “We run on very narrow, country roads and our equipment is as wide as the road.”
He uses flashing lights and strobe lights and escorts when moving equipment and pulls over to let vehicles pass when possible.
