NASA climate scientist to receive 2022 World Food Prize

The 2022 World Food Prize award winner is being recognized for her work predicting the impacts of climate on global food systems.

World Food Prize Foundation President Barbara Stinson tells Brownfield NASA climate scientist Dr. Cynthia Rosenzweig’s climate research spans four decades.

“She’s developed an incredible complexity of models to help over 20 countries develop their own adaptation plans and their own advancements to address climate change,” Stinson said.

In 1985, Rosenzweig completed the first projections of how climate change will affect North American food production.
