Subsequently, most of country will experience dry weather into next week.

Exceptions will include the southwestern and south-central U.S., mainly from Arizona to Texas, where 5-day rainfall could reach 1 to 2 inches or more.  Late in the weekend and early next week, showers may also return across the Great Lakes and Northeastern States.
