Sales of soybeans, corn, and wheat lower

Export sales slid slightly for most major commodities in the first week of October, according to this week’s Export Sales report from the USDA.

Sales for soybeans, corn, and wheat were all down from the previous week. However, China was the top buyer for soybeans, making its first purchase of beans in nearly a month.

Rice sales dropped significantly, while cotton saw a solid increase with Pakistan and Bangladesh as the top buyers.

Pork and beef export sales were both just below recent weeks with Japan and South Korea the top buyers for beef, while Mexico and China topped the list for pork.
