The USDA says cool and dry weather conditions propelled harvest progress last week in Illinois.
As of Sunday, 27% of the state’s corn has been harvested, with 75% of the crop mature.
Thirty-one percent of soybeans are harvested, with 89% dropping leaves and 70% rated good-to-excellent.
Winter wheat is 16% planted, behind the average pace of 29%. Two percent of the crop has emerged.
