Missouri’s Ag Director says farmers around the state have been able to harvest their crops with limited delays this year.
But, Chris Chinn tells Brownfield, “Unfortunately, the southwest part of our state has really been hit hard with the drought,” she said. “In the Bootheel area where they have irrigated fields, they are seeing great yields. But for those fields that don’t have the irrigation they are challenged.”
She says yields have been better than expected further north.
