Werth says silage harvest finished early

Recent dry weather helped to wrap up silage harvest for one northern Michigan farmer.

Corby Werth tells Brownfield it’s been a beautiful fall for fieldwork.

“I would say we are ahead of schedule, the weather has been very favorable,” he says.

Worth says planting more corn silage acres this year has been beneficial with varied moisture throughout the season.

“Our yields are decent, they’re not above average,” he shares.
