Rosalie ‘Rosie’ Dietrich, 93, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Lutheran Living.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, October 10, 2022, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Susan Bantz will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or the American Legion. Online Condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com
Rosie was born on February 13, 1929, in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Mitchell Hutt and Marion Steele. She married Raymond Dietrich on June 8, 1952, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Muscatine.
She worked as a teacher’s aide and dietary specialist for the Muscatine School District, and was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church, along with the Muscatine Rifle Club (Life Member), the American Legion Auxiliary, the West Liberty Gun Club, the Red Hat Society, and Retired School Personnel.
Those left to cherish Rosie’s memory include her sons Alek Dietrich and his wife, Joan, of Muscatine, Curt Dietrich and his wife, Lori, of Muscatine; eight grandchildren, Margaret Rhodes and her husband, Mark, Derek Dietrich, Sara Coggin and her husband, Brian, Shawn Young, Angie Crumly and significant other, Sam, Kris Dietrich and wife, Dilia, Nick Dietrich and his wife, Stephanie, Austin Dietrich and his significant other, Taylor; 17 great grandchildren; brother and Jerry Seiver.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2020; parents; a son, Eric Dietrich, a daughter-in-law, Mary Dietrich; a grandson, Brandon Dietrich; siblings Jack Hutt and Shirley Orr.
