Canada is forecast to import a record amount of U.S. ethanol this year

A Canadian trade representative says the country’s biofuels market is growing and that is good news for U.S. corn farmers and ethanol producers.

Acting Consul General for Canada Aaron Annable says his country is trying to aggressively reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. “The size of our ag sector currently isn’t at the scale of ethanol production in the United States.  And, while we see our new clean fuel regulation as hopefully spurring more domestic production in Canada.
