Hunger elimination strategy to be debated during White House conference

The Biden administration has set a goal to eliminate U.S. hunger and reduce diet-related diseases by 2030.  This week’s White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health is the first time in more than 50 years that a national strategy will be debated.

Chase DeCoite with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association says the organization has been working to make sure the administration understands the role beef plays in a healthy diet.

“The last thing we would like to see is initiatives rolling out that might limit how consumers in America perceive beef, as well as their consumption patterns, because we know that we have a safe, healthy product that contributes to the health of all Americans and provides an essential protein.”

He tells Brownfield beef is a nutrient dense food.
