Small ag retailer says labor, transportation creating large supply chain challenges

A farm equipment dealer says transportation and labor shortages continue to cause supply chain bottlenecks for his customers.

Nebraska farmer Jerry Baysinger owns JBI Enterprises and says it can take up to eight months to fill customer orders. “We have a shortage of truck drivers out here in our country. We have companies – manufacturers – looking for labor. There are shortages there and it creates a backlog of things to get done.”

He tells Brownfield some vendors in the supply chain are waiting to receive parts, which disrupts timely deliveries.
