EPA to finalize rule for summertime sales of E15 this fall

The EPA is expected to finalize a rule that would allow some Midwestern states to sell summertime sales of E15 ahead of the 2023 driving season.

Governors of eight states petitioned EPA to lift the ban on E15 sales and Nebraska’s Pete Ricketts says the agency has responded. “We’re really interested in what the rule-making will be.  It’s supposed to come out in November.”

He tells Brownfield expanding the use of biofuels during the peak driving season could significantly impact corn farmers and consumers.
