Input estimations helpful to entire supply chain

An ag advisor is recommending farmers start making an input delivery plan with their ag retailers to combat 2023 supply chain delays.

Ashley Buehrer with the Andersons tells Brownfield, “On an average year, this is about the cheapest fertilizer will be,” she says.  “And it’s your best opportunity if you have the ability to store fertilizers to get it in your possession now.”

She says while prices are down from their in-season highs, “Year over year, we’re actually higher than we were last year across the board.”

Buehrer says input supplies have improved some this year but anything a farmer can do to communicate their needs ahead of next year is helpful to the entire supply chain.
