Feenstra discusses fertilizer price concerns

A US Representative from Iowa says he’s concerned about input costs for farmers heading into next growing season.

Republican Randy Feenstra tells Brownfield, “With what’s happening in Europe with fertilizer and natural gas prices, those natural gas prices are incredibly high, there’s a lot of concern of where the fertilizer costs are going to go.”

He says reducing tariffs on phosphate imports from Morocco would help address high fertilizer prices. “There’s got to be some easing on that,” Feenstra said.
