Dairy exports continued to increase in July

The U.S. Dairy Export Council says growing global demand for whey and lactose helped increase exports for the fourth consecutive month.

Total export values in July were up 25 percent from 2021 to more than $830 million while the volume increased by five percent.

Exports of lactose were up 22 percent with strong demand from China and New Zealand.  Whey exports increased 13 percent, butterfat was up 63 percent, and cheese exports increased two percent.
