Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for near- or above-normal temperatures almost nationwide, with the greatest likelihood of warmth along the Atlantic Coast and across the Rockies and High Plains.
Meanwhile, above-normal rainfall in much of the West and East should contrast with drier-than-normal weather across the nation’s mid-section, including the Plains and western Corn Belt.
