USDA is updating risk management programs for specialty crop and small-scale producers.
The Whole-Farm Revenue Protection Program has doubled its maximum insurable revenue to $17 million. The Micro Farm Program has increased its revenue limit to $350,000, up from $100,000.
The agency says the updates have been made in direct response to feedback from producers and the need to expand limits.
The updates will start in the 2023 crop year.
