Education impact on food purchases, beliefs, and more

A recent survey analyzed how education levels can impact food insecurity, importance of nutrition to purchases, satisfaction with one’s diet, and behaviors related to sustainability.

The Purdue University Consumer Food Insights Report also showed differences in food beliefs across education levels. Graudate degree holders were the only group where the majority agrees that genetically modified food is safe to eat or just as safe as conventional breeding practices.

GMO foods are as healthful and safe to eat as their non-GMO counterparts, and there is no data to indicate the consumption of GMOs is bad for human health.
