Indiana farmer says corn yields impacted by hot and dry weather

Harvest is right around the corner for west central Indiana farmer Paul Hodgen.

“We’ll have stuff here within probably two or three weeks where we’ll start harvesting some of the early corn and some of the early beans,” Hodgen said. “We’re probably three weeks away from really getting after it.”

He tells Brownfield crop conditions vary. Hodgen says from the road the corn crop looks better than average, but looks are a little deceiving.
