Elvira ‘Jeannie’ Schmelzer, 86, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Lutheran Living.

Jeannie was born on July 5, 1936, in Utah, the daughter of George and Althea Boulton. She married Richard Schmelzer on June 30, 1978, in Muscatine.
Jeannie enjoyed yard work, jewelry, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Schmelzer; her sister-in-law, Kathy Tobias, and many family members.
Jeannie is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother-in-law, Bill Tobias.
