Crop conditions in Indiana are stable despite dry conditions last week.
According to the latest USDA crop progress and condition report, 54 percent of the corn crop is in good to excellent condition. Seventy-seven percent of the crop is in the dough stage and 20 percent dented.
Fifty-five percent of soybeans are in good to excellent condition, with 96 percent blooming and 81 percent setting pods.
Sixty-two percent of third-crop alfalfa hay is cut, while 86 percent of second-crop other hay and 28 percent third-crop other hay is harvested.
