Volunteering plants the seeds of change in local communities

The executive director of Missouri Farmers Care says she’s hopeful the Drive to Feed Kids at the Missouri State Fair continues to inspire FFA members to do more in their local communities.

Ashley McCarty tells Brownfield they’ve already started to see seeds of changes throughout the campaign.  “It is Audrain County processing poultry,” she says.  “It is Webster County, where they decided to make a dairy pantry.  It is Ashland FFA that has a mobile food pantry out behind the school that they’ve built in shop class.”

She says these programs embody the last line of the FFA motto, which is “Living to Serve”.
