Every bride and groom dreams incessantly of the perfect wedding ceremony.

Plans begin as soon as your partner gets down on one knee, but many aren’t quite sure where to begin when it comes to preparing for their special day.

Engaged couples and those seeking the resources to make their wedding day everything they could dream of are invited to prepare for their walk down the aisle at The Merrill Hotel’s QC Wed Me Pop-Up Bridal Show & Open House on Sunday, August 28, from 1 to 4 p.m. This event is free to attend.

Set on the sixth floor of the hotel in the regal Mississippi Ballroom, attendees will have the opportunity to explore it’s wide-range of venue spaces, including not only the Mississippi but the Clark and Clemens rooms as well.

“[The Merrill Hotel] is a hidden gem here in Muscatine, Iowa,” says show coordinator and Catering Sales Manager Gretchen Nollman when asked what makes it the perfect locale to tie the knot. “Whether it’s daytime or nighttime, the view it has to offer is breathtaking,” who emphasizes the scenic value provided by the Mississippi River.

In addition to banquet spaces, a variety of amenity options tendering from the ceremony to the reception will be offered in the form of 20 local vendors.

Vendors will include prospective DJs, photographers, makeup artists, Mary Kay representatives, salons, bridal/formal shops, wedding planners, and bakeries ready to discuss pricing and what they have to offer for you and your wedding party. The Merrill Hotel’s very own Executive Chef Tessa Crookshanks will also be on-site to discuss appetizers and food options.

No one will leave the QC Wed Me Pop-Up Bridal Show empty-handed, as several prizes, swag bags, and giveaways are in store for the event. A free photoshoot is up for grabs, plus a free dinner at Maxwell’s On The River.

“It’s important for us that those who attend thoroughly enjoy it and get to experience what The Merrill Hotel is all about and what we have to offer,” Nollman tells Voice of Muscatine. “We want couples to leave this event with everything they need and would like to be given the chance to help make their day memorable in the best way possible.”
