Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of above-normal temperatures in the Far West, along the Atlantic Seaboard, and across the nation’s northern tier, while cooler-than-normal conditions will cover the remainder of the country, including the Four Corners region, central and southern Plains, middle and lower Mississippi Valley, and interior Southeast.

Meanwhile, near- or above-normal rainfall across most of the U.S. should contrast with drier-than-normal weather from Montana into the upper Great Lakes region.
